World Taekwondo Federation to Help Refugees Wins Peace and Sports Awards

The World Taekwondo Federation (WT) won the Combat Sports Initiative of the Year award at the Peace and Sports Awards 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the 18th.

WT carried out a free taekwondo education support project for children affected by refugee camps and natural disasters around the world, and was recognized for its contribution.

Earlier this year, WT held a multi-sports festival at refugee camps in Jordan and Syria with the Taekwondo Fraternity Foundation (THF) and the World Baseball Softball Federation (WBSC).

At that time, more than 300 people, including the Afghan refugee team, participated in the event, drawing attention from all over the world. 스포츠토토
